Aonaithar

The Aonaithar is an epic fantasy saga set in the myth-wreathed world of Solumna—a realm long severed from the wider multiverse by an ancient cataclysm. Once part of the cosmic tapestry of the War in Heaven, Solumna now lies shrouded beneath the Veil of Shadow, a barrier that isolates it from divine realms. Yet, the influence of the Primordial Gods endures, leaking through the seams of reality as magic, sorcery, and madness. Though banished, these ancient beings move in secret—sending forth agents, avatars, and omens to weave their return, each whispering threads of prophecy that foretell a coming war to shake Solumna to its core.

In the beginning—on the first day of creation—Aonaithar cast the stars into the void like sparks from its divine essence. But the stars merely echoed its glory. Yearning for companionship, Aonaithar shattered its own infinity, giving birth to the Triumvirate:

—Ayestor, the Weaver of Possibilities, who dreamt the Dream of What Could Be. Her slumbering thoughts wove the loom of becoming—matter, time, and boundless potential.
—Desorinth, the Lord of Ends, who brought restraint to Ayestor’s infinite dance. From the Void, he imposed limitation and death, sculpting form and finitude from chaos.
—Elathiel, the Divine Steward, arbiter of balance, neither creator nor destroyer. Elathiel held the line between chaos and order, weighing all with silent wisdom.

So ended the Day of Division—when the laws of reality were first scribed into the firmament, and the Triumvirate turned their eyes to shaping the worlds.

Millennia later, the story begins during a tense peace, following the brutal War of Madness that sundered empires and forged a precarious treaty across the central continent. Three great powers now dominate the known world—but old wounds fester, and ambition burns beneath the veneer of order. The peace is brittle, strained by both mortal greed and the quiet awakening of the Old Gods.
